EAST COAST MUSICIAN'S EXPO (ECME) & Guitarbeque Festival

A new and exciting "Combination Music Event" taking place

August 20 through 22, 2004 in Asbury Park, home of the Jersey Shore's infamous Rock & Roll venues.

Housed in historic Convention Hall, ECME is open to the public and will exhibit custom & stock instruments, gear, accessories and more to music lovers of all ages. Here, one can explore multiple avenues of interest in the industry and buy, sell or trade a variety of custom, new and vintage items. Professional instrument workshops and demonstrations will be offered, along with freebies and a chance to win a 1970's reissue Fender Stratocaster, donated as new by Ernie's Guitars.

ECME will run in conjunction with the First Annual GUITARBEQUE(tm) Festival, located in Bradly Park, opposite Convention Hall. This quality community boosting affair combines performances by an elite group of Guitarists with a National Sanctioned Barbeque Contest.

The entertainment content celebrates Guitarists in the genres of Blues, Jazz, Rock, Folk, Swing and Country while top notch BBQ teams compete for $10,000 in financial rewards and trophies in a BBQ Contest sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. The festival is further enhanced by select arts, crafts and food vendors, a beer garden, activities for the kids and a free outdoor stage.

Bradly Park, Paramount Theatre and the Stone Pony Nite Club will alternately present over a dozen performances in a lineup that alphabetically includes Johnny A., Junior Brown, Johnny Charles, Guy Davis, Robben Ford Band, Jorma Kaukonen & Blue Country, Jon Paris, Gil Parris, Willy Porter, The Stargazers, Hubert Sumlin, Taj Mahal, Frank Vignola, Eric Warren and the Jim Weider Band.
