The guitar offered is a unique handmade and hand carved Blueberry Acoustic Grand Concert Guitar serial number GC0805191 with intricate carvings of Lobsters. When we first started producing guitars, in April 2007, our Balinese partners wanted to make a guitar that they thought North Americans would appreciate, and they created our 5th guitar , which had very intricate Lobster carvings. When the first lobster guitar arrived to Montreal, we were surprised to say the least, the carvings were amazing - the claws protruding from the headstock were so realistic that it looked like they would come alive and pinch us. In our minds though, a Lobster is not what most North Americans think of as beautiful and we had our doubts. We displayed guitar #5 at our first trade show, the SIMM Guitar Show in Montreal in July 2007 which coincided with the Montreal Jazz Festival. We were all amazed to see that the Lobster guitar was one of the most popular designs of all our guitars at the show . It turned out that the Balinese got it right (as usual ). Our partner Wayan Tuges, who had flown in from Bali for our companies official launch , took great pleasure in witnessing the popularity of his Lobster theme - SO here is a new Lobster theme guitar - it was completed on May 19th, 2008 and it is our 210th guitar. The back and sides are East Indian Rosewood and there is a rare Albino streak in the Rosewood on the center of the back of this guitar. The headstock is African Ebony, and the carving of the lobster on the headstock is a solid piece of maple that was painted and inlayed into the ebony. The fretboard inlay is a combination of mother of pearl and maple. The top is Canadian Cedar and the rosette is mother of pearl inlay.The nut and the saddle are bone and there is an adjustable double action truss rod in this guitar - and MOST IMPORTANTLY this guitar sounds fantastic, clear and loud and sweet, like all Blueberry guitars. GET INTO THE GROOVE AND JOIN THE BLUEBERRY REVOLUTION This guitar is a historical acoustic breakthrough. The brand new Blueberry Groove Guitar (patent pending) has hundreds of hand-carved grooves on the top on back in carefully selected acoustic panels,creating a resonance never before heard or felt on an acoustic guitar. We introduced the GROOVE at the summer NAMM show in Nashville on June 18th,2008 and the many musicians who came to our booth became addicted to this guitar and kept returning to play it - in the 90 hours that the NAMM show was open, the guitar was played for 85 hours by Groove addicts. There are many really great things about this guitar. Due to the hundreds of hand carved grooves, the whole guitar comes alive when it is played, and the resonance makes this guitar sound like a dreadnought while being the size of a concert guitar. The grooved fret indicators on the neck (patent pending) allow for musicians to become intimate with the fretboard without looking at it. This guitar is unbelievably light and sounds exceptionally clear and sweet - better than any other of our guitars - and it may just be the greatest sounding guitar ever built. The first Groove Guitars are Grand Concert models exactly as pictured - with a Canadian Cedar top, Mahogany sides and back, African Ebony fretboard and headstock and a nut and saddle made of bone. There is an adjustable double action truss rod that uses a 5/32 Allan key in this guitar. This guitar was delicately hand made under the supervision and guidance of master American Luther and Educator, George Morris and Master Balinese Wood Carver Wayan Tuges. The highest quality specially selected woods that were chosen specifically for their sound, resonance, beauty and acoustic characteristics and this guitar has gone through a rigorous series of quality control checks before it was given a serial number and offered for sale. The sound of each Blueberry guitar is unique and our guitars are known to produce extraordinary volume and clarity while at the same time being incredibly light and very easy to play. It takes the combined skills of both a Master Luthier and a Master Carver over 60 days to produce each Blueberry guitar. This guitar was completed on February 11th, 2008 and is our 144th guitar. There is a fingerprint of the Master Balinese Wood Carver on the inside label to certify its authenticity. The top is Canadian Cedar, the back and sides are Walnut and the neck is a combination of Ebony, and Mahogany. The bridge, fret board and headstock are Ebony and the fret board inlay of two lions facing each other is Jack Wood. The Rosette is carved Ebony. The nut and saddle are bone. All Blueberry Guitars are made with solid woods and use standard wood thicknesses - we do not use thicker woods to adjust for the carvings. ABOUT THE SOUND MONITOR PORT The sound monitor port on the top side of the guitar is designed to allow extra volume that is projected towards the ear of the player and while not affecting the forward trajectory of the sound towards the audience. Blueberry Guitars is pleased to offer the FIRST GROOVED EAGLE DESIGN GUITAR. The concept of the GROOVE guitar was invented by Blueberry Guitars about one month ago. We had noticed that the guitars that had top carving on them seemed to resonate more vibrantly when played and we attributed this to the effects of the top carving onto the tops of our guitars. Based on this finding, we created the first Groove Guitar which was introduced at the summer NAMM musical instrument show in Nashville. The first Groove Guitar was an immediate hit with musicians who fell in love with it immediately and could hardly put it down. The guitar comes alive when played and resonated so clearly and loudly that the concert models seems like a Dreadnought.
