This is a Rick Derringer Model unique to the Warrior Custom Shop with one of the most unusual Burl Maple tops I have seen. The top and neck are sanded and oiled to a polished condition that brings out even more of the beauty of this guitar.
With matching Burl knobs and headstock, five position selector switch and Gold hardware (frets too) that includes locking tuners, the list of features goes on and on. Exceptionally light for a single cutaway body but it feels solid and confortable next to the body. The laminated Mahogany and Purple Heart neck is adorned with Rick Derringer's signiture personally signed at the 2007 Dallas Guitar show. Check out the photos of Rick holding up this guitar.

Here is a single cut body guitar from McNaught finished in Hawaiian Ice Blue. It has a three dimensional Diamond Quilt top that is only enhanced by the great Blue color. It is equipped with chrome hardware to off set the Blue color with a matching headstock. The body and neck are bound with natural Quilt Maple. The fretboard is Ebony with Mother of Pearl Off-Set Block inlay.
The body is Mahogany with the McNaught deep set through neck they are famous for also in mahogany. it is equipped with Wagner Dark Burst pickups that sound wonderful and sustain for days. This is a Breedlove C12 in wonderful Pillow Maple with a Sitka top. The wood on this guitar is hard to beleive. The highly figured Pillow Maple is off set by the best flamed Koa you will find. The top has Abalone purfling and rosette.

This is a unique Custom Shop design from the Warrior Guitars craftsmen that has again taken the art of instrument design to a new level even for them. In this instrument they began with a beautiful piece of Exotic Maple Burl on the top and back of a unique body combination of 5 different ornately beautiful woods. When the sculpted single cutaway body was carved it revealed the layers of different woods in a Kaleidoscope of color and shapes.
This time they mated a beautiful Birdseye Maple neck to the Maple Burl body and let the texture of the birdseye figuring show through on the fretboard. The headstock is done in matching Maple Burl with Black and Gold Sperzel locking tuners. The Birdseye Maple fretboard is then lovingly decorated with multicolored Mother of Pearl throughout the length of the entire neck in an intricate Vine of Life design. The entire guitar is then covered in clear coat finish that makes the Inlay work absolutely luminesant.
As with all Warrior Custom Shop creations they are more than the sum of their parts, uniquely beautiful for sure, but when played they come to life. The incredible speed and fast action of the Birdseye Maple neck is the same at the higher frets as it is anywhere along the neck. The combination of an aged Exotic Maple Burl top and Solid Birdseye Maple neck contribute to the guitars sustain combined with Seymour Duncan Custom pickups. The two pickups are covered with matching wooden covers as well as matching knobs. The bridge contains a piezo acoustic pickup system that can be controlled and blended with the electric pickups to provide a tapestry of sound combinations. This is another exemplary Warrior Custom Shop Guitar in the Dran Michael series. This time the Warrior Master craftsmen started with 150 year old Quilted Maple and carved it into the top and back of an Ash body with an oiled finish. The quilt on this guitar is serioulsy three dimensional, and since you are starting with a piece of 150 year old tone wood the tone and sustain are unequaled.
The guitar has Gold Hardware with matching Quilt Maple control knobs that have Gold and Purple Heart Caps. Both of the pickups have Gold surrounds with matching Quilted Maple covers. The solid Mahogany and Purple Heart neck has an Ebony fretboard with matching Ebony headstock. The fretboard has Mother of Pearl Arrowhead Inlay markers with a Pearl Sword at the 12th fret. The headstock has Gold Sperzel locking tuners with a Mother of Pearl Warrior Logo.
The bridge has a Gold LR Baggs piezo pickup system with stereo outputs that allow you to effortlessly select or blend both warm acoustic tones with high energy electric tones. This is a Classic Martin Dreadnought with a rare sunburst finish that has grown more beautiful over the years. This is a 1976 model D-35 that I purchased new. As with most Martin D-35's this guitar has great volume and a deep bass tone that has also improved with age.
This is a great rhythm guitar, and I have found it perfect for finger picking because of its wide neck. This guitar is a great instrument for slide players as well. The clear tone and volume you get from using a bottle neck with this Martin is something special. The pick guard is pulling away a bit but the body is pretty much perfect for a 30 year old acoustic that has traveled with me everywhere.
